After we had reached the bottom of Mt. Longonot, we were all
hanging around when Evans asked me if I would mind being in a picture with
someone. I was happy to – who doesn’t like to be in a picture with a total
stranger?! I had some idea of what was going on, but shortly after taking the
picture with the young boy (he was probably around 10 years old), I asked Evans
why he wanted a picture with me.
Evans’ response was simple and to the point: the young boy
wanted a picture with a mzungu (white person).
I couldn’t help but laugh and everyone enjoyed this story.
